Hailing from Devon, UK, Tors - brothers Matt and Theo Weedon alongside drummer Jack Bowden - built one of British indie-folk's most compelling live followings through soaring three-part harmonies and emotionally immediate performances that turned rooms full of strangers into something closer to a congregation. Wonderland wrote that the trio had "musical greatness in their blood," while RIFF Magazine called them "stunningly good." Following one standout Glastonbury performance, BBC Introducing hailed the band as "one of the best performances I saw all weekend, an ultimate highlight."
By the time they released Songs From the Road, Vol. 2 via Glassnote Records, Tors had amassed more than 50 million views, one million social followers, and sold-out headline shows across the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe, including their biggest London performance to date at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Melodic Mag observed that listening to the band, "you can practically hear throngs of thousands singing along," while Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1 remarked simply, "Tors know how to make you feel good."
Captured during the band's global touring run, Songs From the Road, Vol. 2 distilled the warmth and intimacy of Tors' live show through acoustic guitars, tightly woven harmonies, and performances shaped by the shared energy of the crowd. The EP was led by the stirring ballad "Was It Love," while "Must Confess," co-written with Myles Smith following the band's 2025 world tour supporting the singer-songwriter, arrived alongside a music video documenting life on the road through live footage and fan moments. Clash Magazine described the band's music as "bittersweet yet endlessly beautiful," while Noctis praised their "emotionally sincere music which is beloved by their growing loyal fanbase."
Beyond the EP, Tors continued to showcase their musical versatility, including a widely shared appearance on Musora, where they transformed Limp Bizkit's "Re-Arranged" into a tender indie-folk ballad on the spot. They also received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, SiriusXM Alt Nation, and German radio, where they reached the Top 100 airplay chart. Along the way, they shared stages with Cian Ducrot, Sam Ryder, James Blunt, Freya Ridings, and Picture This, performed at Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Pinkpop, and Reeperbahn, and headed back out across the UK and Europe in support of Stephen Sanchez.
