There’s something electric about bby right now. The London-based alternative five-piece (vocalist Benjy Gibson, bassist Deon Graham, drummer Tom Parkin, and guitarists Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica) have rapidly grown from an underground internet connection into one of the UK’s most exciting breakout bands, known for fusing indie and alternative rock with raw, high-voltage live energy.
They first broke through with their debut album 1 (2024), following early singles in 2023, and continued their momentum with the winter 2025 EP i just want next year to be better and the cathartic single “Fuggit.” Across each release, the band have been positioned as a fast-rising force, with Notion calling their trajectory “inevitable” and Rolling Stone UK tipping them as “soon to be legendary.”
Built from real-life sessions after initially connecting online, bby developed their sound in their East London HQ, a DIY creative base that shaped both their recordings and their chaotic, high-intensity live identity. That world translated into sold-out shows at their HQ space, major festival appearances including Reading & Leeds, All Points East, Pitchfork Paris, We Love Green, Boardmasters, Y Not, and Kendal Calling, as well as early U.S. shows in New York and Los Angeles.
Their rise has been supported by major industry backing, including being named one of Zane Lowe’s 24 Artists for 2024, playlist support from BBC Radio 1, a Top 20 placement on U.S. Alternative Radio, and continued championing from SiriusXM Alt Nation. Following a Fall 2025 U.S. tour with Royel Otis and a run of surprise London appearances, including a set at the iconic Lost Club Night alongside Charli XCX and The Dare, bby have entered a new phase defined by momentum and reinvention. With new music arriving in 2026, and following their completed UK/EU hometown tour, the band are now moving into their next era: expanding their sound while staying rooted in the DIY chaos and intimacy that defined their rise.
